WOW AYADE PROVIDES N500M INTEREST FREE LOAN

Good news as all local government workers in Cross River State are set to benefit from a non-interest loan largess by Governor Ben Ayade to encourage them in going into agriculture and its value chains.

Governor Ayade stated this on Tuesday during a rally and award presentation in his honour  by the National Union of  Local Government Employees (NULGE), who described him as  "salary master" since he came on board as the state chief executive.

Ayade said the interest free loan is to encourage the return to farm policy of his administration, promising that their salaries and other allowances will be paid regularly.

The Governor also assured of regular promotion up to permanent secretary level for the third tier of government to give them a sense of belonging.

On his part, the National President of NULGE, Ibraheem Khaleel, said the award was to show the Governor their love for making local government workers his friend.

In gratitude to the Governor the local government workers, while presenting the award of excellence in governance to the Governor, also expressed their support for him beyond 2019 as Cross River State Chief Executive.
