Forum Advocates Value-Re-Orientation, Intelligence Sharing As Solution To Herdsmen Crisis

If there is renewed commitment to value re-orientation among communities and intelligence sharing by security agencies, the perennial farmers and herdsmen crises rocking different parts of the country can be curtailed.

This is part of the outcome of a forum on improving Nigeria's internal security system held in Abuja on Tuesday.

Leader of the forum, Jerry Wesly, believes that some of the farmers-herdsmen crises are sometimes manipulated   by mischief makers for their selfish interests.

Wesly, therefore, wants relevant authorities to take conscious efforts to restore sanity in the affected areas to help reduce the increasing number of Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs.

The forum also threw its weight behind growing calls for community policing noting that it will contribute to reducing crimes in the country.
