THE BIOGRAPHY OF A DEPARTED SAINT, OUR BELOVED DAD LATE MR. NNODIM THEODOR AGUBOR (NT).!!!!




PREAMBLE:

The life of every mortal lies between two great days, in between lies the stage of acts which determines the legacies that write the story. The Holy Bible in the book of (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2) says _ “To everything there is a season, A time to be born and and a time to die”. William Shakespeare was indeed right to say: “Life is a stage where everyone comes to play his own role.” Our beloved Dad has completed his own role on earth; he lived an accomplished life and has left a legacy that will forever be appreciated and remembered. As Marcus Cicere says: “The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living.”

PARENTAGE AND EARLY LIFE:

Late Mr. Nnodim Theodor Agubor was born on 18th March 1949, to the family of Late Pa. Celestine Anuforo Agubor and Mrs. Charity Eluoba Agubor in Umujiribe kindered in Umueze-Ukwu Umueze Enyiogugu in Aboh Mbaise L.G.A. of Imo State. Our beloved Dad became fatherless at a very tender age. His mother got remarried. He was then adopted by his uncle Late Pa Jeremiah Iberi Agubor, who nurtured him and took adequate care of him.

EDUCATION:

Late Mr. Nnodim Agubor began his primary education at St. Charles Primary School Enyiogugu from 1955 to 1962. He then proceeded to Owerri Grammar School Imerienwe in 1963 to 1967. After the Nigerian/Biafrian Civil War, where he voluntarily served as a Biafran soldier which disrupted and abbreviated his academic progress. He then proceeded to Enyiogugu Secondary School in 1971 to 1973 where he obtained his West African School Certificate Examination. (WASCE). Because of the exigencies of the time, when teaching profession was attractive to brilliant young school leavers, his next academic port of call was Teachers Training College (TTC) Nsu 1973, where he gained his teaching experience and obtained his TC II certificate. Late Mr. Nnodim Theodor Agubor through hard work defeated the shortcomings that characterized his background and worked his way through the university. As brilliant, hardworking, determined and focused young man, the combination of these factors compelled our beloved Dad to further his University Education in University of Calabar where he obtained his B.Sc Second Class Upper Honour in Geography in 1976 to 1980, as one the pioneer graduates of the university and became the first graduate in the entire Agubor family. Later he went for his compulsory National Youth Service Corps.

MARRIAGE/FAMILY LIFE:

In 1985 our beloved Dad married his heartthrob the lovely and pretty wife Late Miss Elizabeth Sunday Onyenegbukwu from Okwunaezikwe Amuzi Obowo L.G.A. of Imo State and the marriage was fruitful and together they had seven adorable children, of which six are still alive. Our beloved Dad lost his wife (our Mom) and later his last child Chinemerem Agubor in a very hurting and painful situations, but his strong faith in God remained unshakeable in bearing such irreparable and irreplaceable losses. He was willing to endure till the end, the life of celibacy that thrills the departure of his late wife, because of his love for her and his children. But after much pressure from we his children, relatives and love ones, nine years after he got married to his loving and caring wife, Miss Mary Uzochi Emeruwa from Ezihinite Mbaise L.G.A. Late Mr. Nnodim Theodor Agubor was a faithful and dutiful husband, a committed and devoted father, a loving and caring father. He dignified fatherhood and made it enviable and attractive. He ensured that all his children received the best available education, he spared no resources to ensure that his family was never in want, he instilled discipline, patience, sincerity and contentment in his children, he also took good care of his brothers and siblings and above all our beloved Dad ensured that his family was schooled in the best tradition of the Catholic church and her doctrines.
