The President, who left the nation's capital on Tuesday, returned to Abuja at about 6.45pm on Friday.
His reason for returning one day ahead of schedule is not yet known.
President Buhari according to a statement issued on Monday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, had to embark on the London trip on request of his doctor.
Meanwhile, the President is expected to be in Jigawa State for a two day official visit on Monday and Tuesday next week.
The President's visit to Jigawa, which was initially billed for this week, had to be rescheduled because of the All Progressives Congress' ward congresses.
